Our Services and Programmes

Individual Support Services

  • Individual support is provided through the role of a coordinator who listens to and assists the young person in identifying their needs, goals, and aspirations
  • The coordinator’s role is to advocate for and empower the young person in developing independence and a high quality of life

Youth Events

Through out the year we develop and promote youth orientated events including:
  • Skate & BMX competitions
  • Performances: International, national & local bands
  • Festivals & community events

We operate several ongoing programs based in our centres in other locations.

School Holiday Program 

A recreational fun programme for young people offered during the ACT school holidays.

 

Fun 4 Youth


An after school care and vacation care program for young people aged 12–21 years with a diagnosed disability.

Youth Participation

Youth Services supports and encourages young people to become involved in the planning and organising of programs, activities and events presented.

Young people are actively engaged and consulted in the overall development and direction of the Youth Centres and their programs, activities and events, through forums, surveys and meetings.

As part of a holistic view of education and support, Communities@Work Youth Services strive to work closely with youth workers, counsellors, health coordinators, welfare teams, educators, and support staff at local high schools and colleges.
