Inclusion Support — Maintaining Quality

Our Quality Assurance process is collaborative with families, children, carers and the community.

ACT Inclusion Support Agency supports Children's Services to meet the following broad objectives:

  • To ensure children have stimulating, positive experiences that foster self-esteem and confidence.
  • To provide a way to measure the quality of care provided by the service.
  • To assist the service to identify aspects of quality practices which already take place.

ACT Inclusion Support Agency provides Children’s Services with Quality Assurance assistance relating to inclusion by:

  • providing access to resources and training,
  • providing strategies, and
  • developing collaborative partnerships with children’s services, families and the community.

ACT Inclusion Support Agency’s Performance Review

ACT Inclusion Support Agency implements a variety of performance measures to monitor progress and improve performance. These include:

  • annual strategic planning,
  • staff appraisals,
  • client feedback forms, and
  • government reporting.

These support the ACT Inclusion Support Agency in providing clear direction and meeting quality assurance initiatives.

Adopting principles that reflect the diversity of our community ensures staff quality.

ACT Inclusion Support Agency values professional development and stays abreast of current issues and trends in Children’s Services.

Staff adhere to the Communities@Work Code of Conduct and privacy policies ensuring professionalism. The Australian Early Childhood Code Of Ethics, 1990 and United Nations Rights Of A Child, 1990 provide frameworks for staff to measure performance standards.

Quality Assurance systems are an initiative of the Australian Government and aim to ensure that children in care have stimulating, positive experiences and interactions that foster all aspects of their development.
