New Outreach Child Care Service

Quality child care and education at a realistic cost is now available on an outreach basis in the ACT.

Communities@Work's Outreach care service is available to organisations wanting to offer child care to people attending conferences, events, workshops and groups. The service can operate in a variety of locations, with services tailored to met client needs.

The outreach service was in action recently over an eight-week period at a local office location. A package of education and care was put together for 10 children under the age of two, while their families participated in therapy workshops at the same venue.

Using a specially designated room, soothing music and age-appropriate resources, the fully trained staff created a welcoming and stimulating environment.

Workshop organisers reported that the care arrangements greatly benefited both the children and their families. Staff reported that they had much enjoyed applying their professional skills and knowledge in a 'different' setting.
