Where and how do I enroll my children?
Enrolment forms are available from
1. Tuggeranong Community Centre, Colishaw Street, Tuggeranong.
2. The program at which you are enrolling.
3. The front office of the school where the program is run.
4. By request facsimile (02 6293 6555).
5. By request email.
6. By downloading the form and returning to Communities@Work.
Do I have to fill out a new enrolment form each year?
Yes, we need you to complete a re-enrolment form each year that provides current information. Re-enrolment form
What is the difference between a casual and permanent booking?
A permanent booking is a regular booking that may be for a particular day or every day of each week.
A casual booking is not a regular booking for fixed times or days. It's for those times when families need occasional care. Casual bookings are required by 12 midday on the day before you require care. This information is passed on to the program so your child will be expected that day.
Who do I contact to make a casual booking or to cancel care?
Call the centralised contact number at Communities@Work School Age Care office on 6293 6500 to make a booking or to cancel care.
Will I be charged if I cancel my booking for the day?
We require seven days notice to cancel a permanent care booking or your fee will still apply.
How do I register for Child Care Benefit?
The Australian Government offers a range of payments through the Family Assistance Office to support families with their work and family responsibilities.
Call the Family Assistance Office on 136 150 between 8.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m. or visit the website www.familyassist.gov.au.
Do I have to register with the Family Assistance Office again if I use the School Holiday Program?
Yes, each program has an individual Customer Reference Number (CRN). Simply call the Family Assistance Office on 136 150 and they'll help you through the process.
How do I pay my account?
Payment can be made by direct debit, direct deposit, and by credit card. Forms are available from the Communities@Work office and in the enrolment packs or download from the forms button.
Payments can also be made by posting a cheque or money order to P O Box 1066, Tuggeranong ACT 2901, or in person at the Tuggeranong Community Centre. Phone (02) 6293 6500 if you wish to pay by credit card.
Do I have to provide afternoon tea?
The children are provided with a healthy afternoon tea each day. A strong focus is placed on hygene and nutritious eating.
