Community Education
The Community Education Program provides group and/or community based opportunities for learning.
Topics are identified according to needs identified in the community. Examples include:
- parenting;
- communication;
- budgeting; and
- adult relationship development.
Current semester program.
The Community Education Program is:
- responsive to current issues;
- accessible to community members with the greatest need and least access to other services;
- complementary to, and provided in partnership with, existing community and parenting education;
- of high quality, using skilled and knowledgeable facilitators and presenters;
- based on adult learning principles;
- well planned and publicised to encourage maximum participation; and
- relevant to families in Tuggeranong and Weston Creek.
All community education sessions are evaluated by participants and facilitators and the evaluations inform future sessions.
