Family & Individual Support — Welcome

The Family and Individual Support Program offers emotional, social and practical support to individuals and to families who may be faced with issues stemming from (but not exclusive to) relationship difficulties, financial hardship, domestic violence and/or access to appropriate and affordable housing.

The Family Support Program provides this support by using a variety of approaches including case work, the provision of verbal and written information, advocacy and referrals to other agencies, as appropriate. The amount of contact/support provided is dependent on the needs of the individual. In some situations there might be a need for daily support for a period of time, progressing to weekly or fortnightly support as required. The support provided is goal oriented. A support plan is developed with the client to identify a goal or goals and to outline a plan for how they might be achieved.

Accessibility to the Family Support Program is available to any resident in the Tuggeranong and Weston Creek regions.
