Detonation Youth Festival

Detonation Youth Festival is a school holiday event suitable for all ages. It is a free event held at either a local skate park or local youth centre, hosted by Communities@Work Youth Services, in conjunction with other services.

Every school holidays this event is held in Tuggeranong, with an annual event held in Weston Creek. This event allows young people to showcase their talents though a variety of mediums. Live music, dance shows, martial arts demonstrations, graffiti art workshops, interactive games and activities, as well as much more, are all part of this awesome fun night out.

The events are held between 3.00 pm and 10.00 pm on a Friday night during every school holidays.
Detonation Youth Festival allows young people to come together from all parts of Canberra and socialise in a supportive environment created by qualified youth workers from different services.

Through encouraging young people to try new things, meet new people, and move out of geographical areas, we are ultimately supporting these young people to increase their own support networks.
