Why would my child want to go to the Youth Centre?

Our drop–in spaces are designed to create a safe and fun atmosphere for all young people. Young people are invited to access the space for a range of reasons, including straight recreational.

Are these facilities safe?

Yes, at all times our drop-in facilities are fully supervised by qualified and friendly youth workers. All team members are trained in observing, identifying and planning for the strengths needs and interests of young people.

I don’t want my child hanging around with young people who are under the influence of drugs?

Our facilities are drug and alcohol free. This means that should a young person bring drugs or alcohol onto the premises, or to an activity, they are asked to leave. Where staff find drugs or alcohol on the premises, or at an activity, they will confiscate.

The safety and well being of all young people accessing our services is our primary concern. Staff and qualified youth workers work with all young people to help them safely take care of themselves.
