Mandatory Reporting
In this session, you will be updated on the regulatory and legal requirements around reporting suspected cases of child abuse and neglect. We will explore the importance of ‘informed reporting’, what constitutes abuse and neglect and gain awareness of a community approach to reporting abuse and neglect.
We offer two options for this update:
Option One: 2.5 hour face-to-face workshop facilitated within your workplace, or at a CPLE training venue.
Option Two: Online course completed by individuals via our interactive online platform, Canvas. This course takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete, depending on the individual’s learning abilities. This option is ideal if you are unable to arrange a staff meeting, or only have a few individuals requiring the training.
Behaviour Guidance
This workshop is relevant for those working with children. This session will explore behaviour guidance by focusing on relationships, attachments, and understanding behaviour as a form of communication. You’ll learn how to support individual and group behaviours in a safe, supportive environment, using strengths-based approaches to promote pro-social behaviours in children. During the workshop you will engage in critical reflection with your peers to gain a deeper understanding of your own, and others perspectives on behaviour guidance with children.
Timeframe: 2.5 hours
Learning Through the Arts
This workshop is relevant for those working within the early childhood sector. The crucial development of children is significantly influenced by exploring creativity and the arts during early childhood. Our responsibility involves supplying children with the necessary tools, inspiration, and opportunities to utilise art as a foundation for learning. This session aims to assist educators in facilitating creative educational encounters that enable children to express their thoughts and emotions through various means.
Timeframe: 2.5 – 4 hours (timeframe can be customised to suit the request)
Basic Computer Skills
This workshop is targeted towards groups or individuals who have limited computer skills and are seeking to update or increase their skills. Join us in a relaxing, supportive environment where the trainer will guide you through simple computer processes in order to build your confidence in navigating the computer and various Microsoft systems.
This basic computer skills workshop will provide you with the skills and understanding to use common computer systems relevant to most workplaces. It will provide you with face-to-face, hands-on training using your own device. This workshop is suited to people who are returning to work or starting a new role where computer skills are required.

Education and Care Training Tailored to Your Service Needs
CPLE (RTO 88148) is recognised within the Canberra region for our nationally recognised qualifications as well as for our professional development training and workshops for individuals in the early education and care sector.
If you’re an education and care service provider (long day care, out of school hours care, family day care etc.), we can deliver customised professional development workshops specific to your children’s services environment, using our expertise in training educators across the sector. Our customised workshops are offered in your own environment, accessible to your whole team.
An example of an effective way to utilise customised training is by conducting a staff meeting, focusing on specific topics to build the quality and capacity of your early education and care service. It not only brings about a change in practice, but it is a cost-effective way to engage in professional development training within a service.
Customised training in education and care is delivered by our own qualified training facilitators who understand the needs of the sector. Our facilitators range in areas of expertise that span across all quality areas and approved learning frameworks which align with the National Quality Framework (NQF).
