Established and developed in Canberra, Communities@Work is a local organisation that understands local needs. With nearly 40 years of experience, we provide a wide range of services across the entire Australian Capital Territory and also serve clients in the Greater Capital region.We deliver services to more than 20,000 people annually with a paid workforce of up to 700 staff, 150 self-employed family day care educators and the passionate commitment of over 300 volunteers. Communities@Work delivers a diverse range of programs. This includes our Lifestyle Services. We provide a continuum of care to people from birth to senior years that can be delivered in-centre, in-home and in-community.

About the role

Hit the ground running in this full time, fixed term position. You will provide excellent customer service while taking client transport bookings, enabling our clients to lead independent and productive lives.


  • Take client calls and match transport bookings to client needs

  • Manage client bookings using a dedicated booking system

  • Work closely with transport drivers

  • Data entry

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a transport bookings role or similar highly desirable

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Professional phone manner

  • Attention to detail

  • 'Working Vulnerable People' registration, or willingness to obtain
