Communities at Work is Canberra’s largest not-for-profit community organisation, working with our community to build a resilient, sustainable, and socially inclusive community. With over 40 years’ experience in the ACT and Capital Region, we provide a wide range of high-quality early education and care services and community services that supports positive educational outcomes, assists in alleviating hardship, enhances quality of life and leads to positive social change.

We currently have casual positions available:

  • School Holiday Programs, Malkara School – ages 7-12, Greenway – ages 13-29 and Gungahlin – ages 13-29 and/or
  • During school term Young Adults programs – ages 18-29, Gungahlin and Greenway.

The team member will contribute to the development, presentation and evaluation of program activities and experiences that reflect the interests and needs of individual clients. You will work collaboratively with and actively participate in supporting clients to work towards reaching their individual NDIS goals and aspirations. You will work collaboratively within the team, be reliable and professional. You will be required to connect with clients and other stakeholders on an individual/small group basis, understand their needs, and create an environment that enhances learning and significantly improves the lives of vulnerable people in our community.

Communities at Work Disability Services presents group and centre-based programs that incorporates community engagement. We are NDIS registered and compliant and work within a person-centred approach as well as Communities at Work’s Purpose, Mission and Values.
