About the Team
Communities@Work is Canberra's largest Early Education and Care provider, operating numerous Child Care and Education Centres across Canberra. Our child care and education centres are dedicated to providing a safe, family-friendly environment that fosters children's wellbeing and inspires a love of learning.
About the Role
As an Early Childhood Teacher, your role will be to develop, implement and evaluate an educational program based on contemporary early childhood theory. The Early Childhood Teacher will maintain a high standard of practice and demonstrate excellent communication skills working within a diverse team. Your knowledge of the National Quality Framework and active support of children's contribution to a play based learning environment that encourages and respects children's interests, strengths and abilities will see you do well in this role.
You will work alongside the highly skilled team, supported by the dedicated Children's services manager, experienced educational leader and the wider service community to develop and lead an educational program for individual children and groups of children. This is an important role within our centres and proven leadership skills, energy and commitment to excellence in early education and care are a must.
