We are always looking for Casual Educators to work in our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) programs for children (pre-school to year 6). If you would like to gain experience working with children, but don’t have any existing qualifications in Education & Care, our OSHC programs offering before and after school care are a good place to start! Qualifications in Early Childhood Education

Communities at Work has its own Registered Training Organisation (RTO 88148) which is a trusted vocational education and training (VET) provider, and a three-time winner at the ACT Training Awards! We offer nationally recognised qualifications of Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Subsidised study options may also be available (if you’re aged 18 years or above). Jobs in Family Day Care and In-Home Care

Family Day Care (early education and care in educators’ own homes) and In-Home Care (early education and care in families’ homes for specific circumstances) educators approved with Communities at Work are self-employed educators who are supported by our Coordination Unit. All educators are required to hold/obtain at least a Certificate III qualification. Work Experience in our Children’s Services

Students in Years 10-12 may have the opportunity to complete a few weeks of work experience in one of our Early Education and Care Centres or an Out of School Hours Care service. Work experience opportunities can be valuable in getting an insight into the job profile of educators and helping you figure out if working in Children’s Services is the right fit for you.
