In-Home Care and Community Support
We offer a range of basic support services under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) to assist older people to live in their own homes for as long as possible, to maximise their independence and access to the community. These in-home and community services for seniors include the following supports:
1. Domestic assistance:
for example, we can organise an ongoing basic clean of your home and provide assistance to complete tasks that you may be finding difficult to do by yourself (tasks such as vacuuming and mopping floors, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, changing bedding etc).
2. Social support (Individual):
for example, we can provide a support worker to take you shopping or to accompany you to other regular appointments where you may need some assistance.
you can use our transport services to attend appointments, go shopping, attend our seniors’ social groups, etc. Visit our Transport page for more information (click here).
In choosing Communities at Work’s In-Home Services, social group programs for seniors, or community transport services, you will experience benefits such as access to the community, better health outcomes, choice for shopping, and continued access to preferred lifestyles.
