STEM and Integrating Art with STEM

Join us for an exciting hands-on workshop where we explore how the concepts of STEM can be explored via integration with the arts. You will learn strategies for engaging children in collaborative explorations, inquiry-based learning and creating meaning of their world through art.

STEM

STEM refers to the approach to learning and development that incorporates the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Not only does STEM also supports important life skills and provides the opportunity to engage in teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, communication, analysis and independent thought.

INTEGRATING ART WITH STEM

Learning through creativity and the arts in early childhood plays a critical role in children’s development. Our role is to provide children with the materials, inspiration, and time to use art as a platform for learning. This session is designed to guide educators with creative educational experiences that they can use to encourage children to communicate their thinking and feelings in multiple ways.

PLEASE NOTE: This event will be catered to provide participants with a light lunch.
