Ngala Tours – Walk on Country

Join the Indigenous Education Officer for a guided walk and yarn around the Arboretums Forest 2, where you will see native plants that are used for medicinal, culinary and cultural use. This walk will bring the landscape to life allowing you to gain a deeper respect for the traditions and cultures of First Nations peoples.

Be guided on the use of stones axes, coolamons, skins and clapsticks with a hands artefact display and participate in traditional ochre use. Hear why caring for Country is vital and continues to play a significant role in cultures today.

Included in the tour is a Ngala Tours cotton drawstring Dilly Bag that contains samples of food such as mountain peeper flatbread, using flavours and ingredients from Australian bush.

These immersive and enjoyable tours are a relaxing way to learn about First Nations peoples cultures in a beautiful bush setting.
