Thank you to everyone who supported Communities@Work! #ACTTA20 #SkillsCanberra

The ACT Training Awards showcases the commitment, innovation and outstanding achievements of all those involved in the ACT vocational education and training (VET) sector. And for the second year in a row, we have been shortlisted. We won this award in 2019 and are excited to once again be nominated and be one of the finalists, as training excellence is an integral part of our organisation.

2020 will see the ACT Training Awards adapted to a new format to align with current physical distancing requirements.

This year the event will be presented virtually, with the 14 awards announced and presented on YouTube. Winners will not be announced or notified before the event so make sure you’re watching live!

Communities@Work is committed to becoming a centre of excellence with a priority on providing flexible learning opportunities to support the professional development of our employees and promote their career pathways. We also specialise in delivering nationally recognised early childhood education and care qualifications and professional learning opportunities, through our Registered Training Organisation (RTO 88148), to support rewarding careers.

We use a flexible range of teaching and learning strategies that include face to face
workshops, webinars, tasks, projects, distance learning, on-the-job training and study sessions. Our online learning system, Canvas, has allowed us to use webinars to diversify the way we deliver training and assessment to our students.
In addition to training and assessment within both the CHC30113 Certificate III and CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, we also deliver a series of customised training options to our children’s services to maintain professional development and sector quality.
