Through our work as educators we often get asked the question “how are you preparing my child for school?” This session will look at readiness as an holistic approach from infants through to preschool. We will discuss common myths surrounding school readiness and look at what the National Quality Standard says in relation to this. We will explore the importance of social readiness for school preparation and look at strategies to promote early success in areas such as athematics, literacy, science and art. Redefining Readiness aims to help you to understand how your current practices are preparing children to move beyond the Early Childhood setting and prepare for lifelong learning success.
