Why it matters
Galilee School is the only special assistance school in the Canberra region for students in Years 7–12 who have struggled in mainstream education due to complex life challenges. These young people are often at risk of being left behind — but with the right support, they can thrive.
Galilee School offers life-changing opportunities thanks to our unique wrap-around support program. We provide students with everything they need to succeed: food, transport, school supplies, youth worker support, and a safe place where they’re seen, heard, and believed in.
But this life-changing education is expensive.

Donations to the Galilee School Black Friday Ball will be declined in instances where:
- Reasonable belief exists that the Donor is in vulnerable circumstances and lacks the capacity to make a decision to donate.
- Accepting a donation would compromise the interests or objects of the Black Friday Ball, Galilee School or Communities at Work.
- The activities of the Donor are incompatible with the objects of the Black Friday Ball, Galilee School or Communities at Work.
- The cost of accepting the donation is greater than the value of the donation.
- There is reason to believe that accepting the donation may give rise to litigation
