Galilee School has recently, through the Fair Work Commission, had its new Enterprise Agreement 2024 -2027 approved. 

The new Enterprise Agreement is a watershed event in the evolution of the school, and an important element of the strategic improvements that have been occurring across our school in recent years. 

There are many enhancements to the employment arrangements that the new agreement delivers, including: 

• Competitive salaries across all employment classifications 
• Future pay rises aligned to the ACT Wage Price Index 
• 4 pupil free days each year to positively address workload pressures and allow greater access to professional learning 
• Allowances for specific positions within the school identified as Leadership level positions 
• A specific allowance, in addition to the employee’s base rate of pay, in acknowledgement of the important work that Galilee School delivers as a Special Assistance School

Join our Teaching and Learning team 

1.Teacher:

We’re seeking dedicated Teachers to help develop and implement lessons and programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum and the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Head of Teaching and Learning and contribute to our Teaching and Learning and Student Support Frameworks. 2. Learning Support Assistant (LSA): 

Galilee School is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSA’s) to join our team. Under the guidance of the Head of Teaching and Learning, LSAs work alongside teachers to support all students, including those with special learning needs. 

In this role, you will help implement lessons and programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum, the ACT Senior Secondary Curriculum, and our Student Support Framework. You will also provide valuable support to students in their daily studies and activities. 3. Youth Workers: 

Galilee School seeks passionate Youth Workers to support students from complex backgrounds in our trauma-informed environment. You’ll help maintain student engagement in daily activities and studies, working closely with their Individual Learning and Positive Behaviour Support plans. We’re looking for candidates with strong qualifications and experience in Youth Work who can manage challenging situations with confidence.
