As a Reception & Administration Officer, you will provide exceptional front of house reception services, provide initial information about our services and administration support to the staff and community. Your core responsibilities include administration duties, managing enquiries appointments and bookings and interacting with a range of people in community including vulnerable people.
Senior Educational Leader – Out-of-School Hours Care
FULL TIME.
The OSHC Senior Educational Leader helps educators work within the National Quality Framework and leads in program development.
If you want to make a difference in the lives of children and their families and must ensure that children’s experiences in an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) environments contribute towards positive learning experiences, as well as guide educator’s workplace practices to be appropriate and intentional.
Cook – Early Childhood Education and Care
PART TIME.
We currently have an opportunity for a Cook to join Communities at Work Early Education and Care services. As the Cook, you will prepare healthy and wholesome meals for children using seasonal produce outlined in planned menus. This position is from Monday to Friday only – no weekend or after hours work!
Human Resources Coordinator
FULL TIME.
The HR Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing administrative tasks, supporting processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Fair Work laws.
The role will be the go-to person for the employees and for addressing their queries and will be able to support and enhance employee experience by facilitating communication and contributing to a positive workplace environment.
Projects and Contracts Manager

Are you an experienced professional with a strong background in contract management and project coordination? We are seeking a Projects & Contracts Manager to join our team! Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role is essential in ensuring contracts are efficiently executed and project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Program Accountant
FULL TIME.
This is a financial support role within the Finance team that reports directly to the Finance Manager. The Program Accountant is required to work with a high degree of autonomy in the end-to-end management of the allocated programs with little oversight required by management. The role also involves managing and assisting in the various financial and operational systems used in the organisation.
Program Coordinator – Junior OSHC site
FULL TIME.
You will be leading a Junior OSHC service that caters to children in preschool and kindergarten, under the guidance of the Out of School Hours Care Management team. You will ensure the provision of a quality service that is responsive to the needs of children and families using the service. You will prepare, implement and evaluate the Out of School Hours Care Program, including holiday programs, in line with the National Quality Framework. Strong leadership qualities are required for this position, to effectively supervise and guide team members. This role is suitable for those with experience working with preschool and younger primary aged children.

These services provide before and after-school care, and school holiday programs. Our services focus on children. We place each child at the centre of our practice and deliver high-quality programs to foster children’s emotional well-being, social skills, communication and confidence.

We are currently looking for Part-time Educators to work in our Out of School Hours Care services with children in Preschool – Year 6
Communities at Work have multiple centres in the ACT, located in schools across North and South Canberra. Our services operate between 7 am and 9 am in the mornings, and between 2 pm and 6 pm in the afternoons, 5 days per week.
