Disability Services

We provide support for people living with a disability through in-centre programs, that focus on independent skill building in group-based environments, with supports appropriate to individual need.

COVID-19 Update: Our program calendars have been adapted to fit the changing environment. Please continue to follow this page and the COVID-19 Information and Advice page for the latest updates.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to purchase a range of supports aimed at increasing your independence, inclusion, and social and economic participation. As an NDIS Provider, our disability support services are designed to be flexible and innovative.

Our service culture focuses on upholding human rights and fostering well-being, inclusion, safety, and quality of life for all people with a disability.

Our range of disability support programs offer individual choice to build capacity and skills through workshops, activities, and community participation.

We have two disability support hubs in the ACT: our Southern Hub is in Tuggeranong and our Northern Hub is in Gungahlin. During the school holidays, we also operate from the Malkara Specialist School in Garran.

We offer disability programs specially targeted to school aged children, teens, young adult and adults.

Disability Support for Children

Our Malkara Holiday Program is a school holiday service for children aged 5-12 years with a disability. The program provides children with opportunities to engage with other children and caters to their individual needs, interests and general well-being. This is undertaken in a fun, supportive environment.

We are not running the Malkara Holiday program during the April Holidays this time due to extensive building and ground works that are being undertaken.

Our Young Adults Program is a post school program for young adults with a disability. This program adopts a person-centred approach that is responsive to participants’ needs and wants.

Participants engage in whole of life programs tailored to suit individual’s goals whilst in a group setting. Independent Living Skills are the focus of the program with a mix of social and recreational activities to ensure a wider range of learning. Participants choose the activities that they would like to see within the disability support program and a monthly calendar is developed accordingly.
