Nationally Recognised Qualifications/Courses

You can study two early childhood education and care qualifications with us: the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (entry-level) and the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (for career progression). You can also study the BSB30120 Certificate III in Business with us and gain coveted professional transferable skills for the workplace to get you started in Accounting, Administration, Technology and more.

Our professional development training sessions and workshops are for individuals across a myriad of community services sectors. These training sessions can be booked by anyone looking to upskill, increase their knowledge, or gain an understanding of professional practices on a session-by-session basisAdditionally, we offer customised professional development training for children’s services settings across Canberra.

Government-funded subsidies and entitlements

You may be eligible for funded study subsidies and entitlements when enrolling into one of our nationally recognised professional qualifications, such as the User Choice (traineeships) and Skilled Capital funding. Under these options, available via Skills Canberra, you will not have to pay the complete qualification fee (depending on the type of funding you’re eligible for). Our CPLE staff will also be able to help you identify relevant options as per your situation.

Ascend Program: Paid Traineeship in the Early Years

Start a career in the early education and care sector with our industry-leading traineeship Ascend Program.  Selected candidates will join Communities at Work as early childhood educator trainees (paid full time), working in our Early Education Centres while studying a nationally recognised entry-level qualification in Early Education and Care with CPLE. Our Ascend Program intakes only happen twice a year and are a unique opportunity to earn while you learn.

Our passionate team specialises in delivering vocational education and training (VET) qualifications with quality and evidence-based approaches. The Registered Training Organisation (RTO 88148) delivers nationally-recognised qualifications within the areas of Early Childhood Education and Care and Business.
