If you need help or have a question about a particular service, please select “Contact a program” and choose the relevant program area. If you’re unsure, you can select “make a general enquiry” and the relevant team will be in touch.

If you are looking to make a crisis support appointment, please select “contact a program” and then choose “Support for Hardship – Food, Clothing, Crisis etc.” from the dropdown, then mention in your message that you’re looking for a crisis support appointment and provide your contact details.

 

 

Feedback and Complaints

Communities at Work has a continuous improvement process and we welcome feedback, complaints and suggestions. Our process ensures any concerns you have are managed in a confidential, fair, consistent and timely manner.

Once submitted, your complaint or concern will be directed to the relevant area and staff will respond to you. We review all complaints and will conduct an internal investigation where necessary.

If you have a concern that you have not been able to resolve by talking with us, you are not happy with our response, or you wish to seek clarification, you may be able to refer to an external body.

Children’s Education and Care Assurance (CECA)

If you have a concern about education and care services operating in the ACT, including Out of School Hours Care and Early Learning Centres, you can contact CECA by telephone 02 6207 1114 or email complaintsCECA@act.gov.au.

NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission

If you have a concern about your NDIS supports or services, you can contact the NDIS Commission by telephone 1800 035 544 (free call from landlines), TTY 133 677 or by submitting a form on their website: www.ndiscommission.gov.au/about/complaints.

Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission

If you have a concern about your Aged Care services, you can contact the Commission by telephone 1800 951 822 or via their website: www.agedcarequality.gov.au/making-complaint/complaints-process.

Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, you can lodge a complaint with the OAIC via their website: www.oaic.gov.au.

ACT Human Rights Commission

The ACT Human Rights Commission promotes the human rights and welfare of all people living in the ACT. The Commission handles complaints in relation to health, disability and community services, abuse of vulnerable people, and complaints under discrimination law.
