Lee Maiden appointed Communities@Work Chief Executive Officer
Communities@Work’s Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Lee Maiden to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Board Chair, Alan Greenslade announced today that Lee would assume the role of CEO effective immediately.
Mr Greenslade said: “Lee is an outstanding appointment, known for her collaborative leadership style and for building teams that make a difference to the lives of Canberrans.”
“She was chosen in a competitive selection process from a strong field of candidates. She brings a wealth of experience from several decades working within Communities@Work and most recently as acting CEO” he said.
Mr Greenslade adds that “This appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Communities@Work. The Board is looking forward to working with Lee to ensure that Communities@Work continues to deliver and develop services for the Canberra community and those most in need, directly, and in collaboration with other community organisations, government agencies and our supporters.”
Ms Maiden said, “I am so incredibly honoured to have this opportunity particularly with such an amazing organisation. Communities@Work has been making a difference in the lives of children, young people and families in the Canberra community for more than forty years. I have been involved with the organisation for 30 years and have seen firsthand how the services we provide can be life changing for those experiencing hardship.
