How can children learn about generosity?

Over the past two months, Maribyrnong OSHC have run a food donation drive and collected  568 canned items for our community pantries. The children got involved and created decorations and signs to promote the drive and tracked their progress with a donation thermometer. They even  built creative displays using canned goods.

During this time, we had many meaningful discussions with the children and their families about the value of supporting people  in our community.

Finally, the big day came. Our OSHC Program Coordinators , Mitch Evans and Reanna Leadbeater arranged for the items to be picked up in a Communities at Work van.

“We’re proud to have reached beyond our goal of 500 donated items! This incredible achievement is all thanks to the generosity of our Maribyrnong Primary School families and the dedicated OSHC educators.”

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this food donation drive a success. Your support has made a significant impact on those in need within our community.
