MarchMingle is an exciting new 7 km fundraising walk to bring the community together and raise money for our community food pantries. Walk in MarchMingle and Help Families in Need

With the increasing cost of living, many Canberra families are hurting. Some never expected they’d need help. Like Lydia’s family.

Lydia and her husband worked hard to save for a home. Just two months after moving in, Lydia’s husband lost his job.

With no income and a young family to feed, they frantically applied for jobs, but time was running out. Watch Lydias story below.

There are plenty of volunteer opportunities available if you can’t walk but still want to be part of this great event.

👉 Multicultural Festival Information Stand: Promote MarchMingle at our Multicultural Festival info stand during 16 Feb – 18 Feb 2024.

👉 Event Day Marshal: Be a marshal on event day to cheer on the walkers. Two marshals will be needed every kilometre of the 7 km course.

👉 Event Day Information Stand: Volunteer at a Communities at Work information stand where you tell people about our organisation and ask them to donate to our “Cost of Living Crisis” Appeal.

👉 Event Day Checkpoints: Volunteer at a checkpoint along the route where you will interact with the walkers and ask them to donate to our “Cost of Living Crisis” Appeal. The more festive this checkpoint is the better and can be done by a group of volunteers.
