About Our Ascend Program Information Sessions
Do you want to become a qualified early childhood educator? Want to gain valuable paid work experience while you study your qualification? The Ascend Program may be exactly what you’re looking for. Please check your eligibility criteria before you register for and come along to the Information Session.
At the Information Session, the team from our Centre of Professional Learning and Education (CPLE) will tell you everything you need to know about how the program works, the next steps for your application process, what studying and working as part of the program looks like, and whether the traineeship is the right fit for you. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions of both our CPLE and the People/Recruitment team during the session.
After learning about the program during the session, you will have the option to attempt the Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (if you are still interested in progressing your application). Results of the assessment will be released 3-5 days after the session via email. If you pass the LLN, you will be able to progress your application.
Registrations are mandatory if you wish to attend the Information Session.
Applications for the Ascend Program (September 2022 intake) have now closed.
You can contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for further enquiries.
Completing your Language, Literacy and Assessment
After receiving the information provided during the session, if you are ready to progress to the next stage of your application for the Ascend Program, you can sit for the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment (usually right after a short break following the Information Session). You must pass the LLN Assessment if you wish to be considered as an applicant for the Ascend Program Early Childhood Trainee position.
